Wilson Bigaud, The Game, Hardboard, 23 x 29 1/2 in., Circa 1947. Provenance: Acquired from Selden Rodman in 1960. Illustrated: LIFE Magazine Haiti: The Black Republic. Wilson Bigaud lived in the red light district of Port-au-Prince. He painted all of every day life's colorful interactions and dynamic scenes. Bigaud was 16 years old when he executed this painting of a brawl following a game of dice gone wrong.
